MyBambu Account Opening and Referral Promotion
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the MyBambu (“we”, “our” or “us”) flash promotion (“Promotion(s)”) for the payment of an Account Opening and/or Referral Reward (“Reward(s)”) related to the opening and use of a demand deposit account and activating a linked MyBambu Visa® Debit Card Account (“Account” or “Card”) issued by Community Federal Savings Bank (the “Bank”), Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The Promotion is open to all customers of MyBambu (each a “Participant“) who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in these Terms and Conditions and who comply with the MyBambu Deposit Account and Cardholder Agreement (the “Account Agreement“). This Promotion is offered and provided by MyBambu and the Bank is not a party to the Promotion.
By participating in the Promotion, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions and any changes we make to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, you are not authorized to participate in the Promotion. Individuals who open a new MyBambu Account or individuals with an existing Account who invite friends to open an Account and activate a Card are called “you,” “your” or “Referrer” (as applicable). Individuals who receive an invitation from you to participate in the Promotion are called “Referee(s).” Strict compliance with these Terms and Conditions is required for Promotion eligibility.
- Promotion Basics.
1.1 $35 Account Opening Reward
1.1.1 You can earn a $35 Reward (“Account Opening Reward”) if you 1) open an Account, 2) make a minimum $25 deposit (via cash load or Automated Clearing House (“ACH”)) and 3) make two card transactions for a minimum of $10 each or an International Money Transfer for minimum of $25.
1.2 $25 Referral Reward
1.2.1 You can earn a $25 Reward (“Referral Reward”) if your Referee 1) opens an Account, 2) makes a minimum $25 deposit (via cash load or Automated Clearing House (“ACH”)) and 3) makes two card transactions for a minimum of $10 each or an International Money Transfer for a minimum of $25.
1.3 The foregoing must be completed within 30 calendar days of account opening (the “Promotion Activation Period”). To be eligible, Participants must also comply with the Account Agreement. A reward will be deposited to your Account within 15 business days (Monday through Friday excluding US bank holidays) after it is earned. When the Account Opening Reward and/or Referral Reward is deposited in your Account you will see the amount added to your Account balance. You must have an active Account and be in good standing during the Promotion to be eligible for a Reward and your Referee must use the link provided in the referral. Individuals who are eligible to receive over $600 in rewards or that result from other MyBambu promotions or offerings are required to submit to us a valid IRS W-9 or W-8 form.
1.4 When you refer a Referee, we may require you to, and you hereby agree to, provide and/or confirm information and documentation that will allow us to identify the Referee, such as:
1.4.1 The name of the person who opened their Account.
1.4.2 The email of the person used to open their Account.
1.4.3 The date of when you sent the referral link or code.
1.4.4 A screenshot of the link sent to the Referee.
1.5 You may not use bulk distribution methods to solicit Referees that in our discretion constitute unsolicited commercial communications or spam, whether through email, social media, or other websites or platforms. The use of multiple, duplicate or otherwise fake Accounts, opening a MyBambu account with fake or false personal information or a forged or altered government ID, or failure to follow the terms and conditions of the Account by you or your Referee is a violation of these Terms and Conditions. Violating any applicable law is also a violation of these Terms and Conditions. We may take back any Rewards that are received by you in violation of these Terms and Conditions, and we may close your Account.
1.5 The Referrer will also receive a Reward for each successful referral once all the applicable conditions set forth in Section 1 have been met by the Referee.
1.6 The minimum Reward amount for the Account Opening Reward is $35 and for the Referral Reward is $25.
- Qualifying Criteria:
2.1 To qualify for the Referral Reward, the Referee must use the unique referral link or code provided by the Referrer when opening a MyBambu account.
2.2 The Referee must complete the account opening process and fulfill the Promotion requirement within the Promotion Activation Period to be eligible for the Reward.
2.3 Only ACH or Cash deposits are eligible for the Reward. Peer-to-peer (P2P) and other transfers will not be considered.
- Reward Distribution:
3.1 Rewards will be credited to the Accounts of both the Referrer and Referee once all the qualifying conditions have been met.
3.2 MyBambu reserves the right to withhold Rewards if any fraudulent activity or abuse of the Promotion is detected.
3.3 Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation.
- Promotion Activation Period:
4.1 This Promotion will run between October 10, 2024 and November 10, 2024, unless otherwise specified by MyBambu.
4.2 MyBambu reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time without prior notice.
- Additional Reward Condition – Account Must be in Good Standing and Not Negative
5.1 As a Reward condition your Account must remain open, in good standing and not have a negative available balance. No Reward will be deposited into your Account if: (1) your Account is closed or not in good standing after the Reward qualification is validated and prior to the Reward being deposited or (2) your Account has a negative available balance at the time of the Reward qualification is validated.
- Exclusivity of Promotion:
6.1 This Promotion is exclusive and may not be combined with, or used in conjunction with, any other promotions, discounts, or offers, including but not limited to any other account opening incentives, referral bonuses, or similar promotional activities offered by MyBambu.
- General Terms:
7.1 Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
7.2 MyBambu reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
7.3 By participating in the Promotion, Participants agree to release and hold harmless MyBambu and its affiliates from any and all liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of or in connection with the Promotion.
7.4 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware.
7.5 Disclaimer: You understand and agree that your use of the Promotion is at your sole risk, and the Promotion and our platform are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, AND TERMS (COLLECTIVELY, “WARRANTIES”) OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY STATUTE, COMMON LAW OR CUSTOM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES AS TO PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE USE OF THE PROMOTION AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7.6 Any disputes with us about the Promotion or Rewards are governed by Delaware law and must be brought in the state courts in Memphis, Tennessee, or the federal court in the Western District of Tennessee.
