Can I cancel a transfer sent to someone outside of MyBambu?
You can only cancel a transfer if it’s the first time you’re sending money to that external recipient (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, or card). Once the recipient has already accepted a previous transfer, future transactions to them cannot be canceled after being sent.
What happens if I try to send money to someone who already has a MyBambu account?
If the recipient already has a MyBambu account, your transfer will automatically be redirected to our User-to-User flow. This means the money will be sent directly to their MyBambu account — instantly and with no extra steps! It’s faster, easier, and ensures they receive the funds right away.
What do I need to do before sending or receiving money?
To use Bambu Pay, you’ll need to accept our Terms and Conditions the first time you send or receive a transfer. It’s a quick step that ensures secure transactions.
How long does the recipient have to claim the money?
If you send money to someone outside MyBambu, they have 72 hours to claim the transfer. If not claimed in time, the money will return to your MyBambu account.
Can I send money to someone who doesn’t have a MyBambu account?
Yes! You can now send money to external recipients using PayPal, Venmo. Just enter their Payname when sending funds.
How do I link my debit card with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Simply go to “Transfer from card” feature under “Deposit Money” section in the app. If its the first time, you will have to accept Terms and Conditions, then you will have to enter the amount you want to transfer you will see below the option to add a Debit card via Apple or Google Pay.
What does my recipient need to receive the money?
They just need an active Mercado Pago Mexico digital wallet with their phone number linked to it.
Who receives the bonus money?
