1. Promotion

The promotion entitled “Receive Funds from Abroad and Win up to $600.00 MXN” (hereinafter, the “Promotion”) is organized by MP Agregador, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“Mercado Pago Standard”), registered with Federal Taxpayer Registry MAG2105031W3, and with its registered address at Boulevard Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra No. 161, 15th Floor, Col. Granada, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, Postal Code 11520. The company manages the application and platform commercially known as Mercado Pago Standard, available at www.mercadopago.com.mx (the “Website”) and via the Mercado Pago Standard mobile app (the “App”).

Participation in this Promotion implies acceptance of the Mercado Pago Wallet Terms and Conditions available at https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/ayuda/17594 (“Mercado Pago Wallet Terms and Conditions”), the Mercado Pago Standard Terms and Conditions available at https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/ayuda/terminos-y-condiciones_299, the Terms and Conditions for Receiving Funds from the money transfer service brands available at https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/ayuda/18349, and these Promotion terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms and Conditions”).

2. Participants

2.1 To participate in the Promotion, the following requirements must be met in addition to those set forth in these Promotion Terms and Conditions:

(i) Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;

(ii) Reside in Mexico;

(iii) Be a registered user of Mercado Pago Standard (the “User”) and have an active Mercado Pago Wallet account (“Mercado Pago Wallet Account”);

(iv) Have downloaded, or download at the time of participation, the App to receive the benefit (the “Benefit”) as described in section 3 of these Promotion Terms and Conditions;

(v) Have no debts or be in breach of any obligations with Mercado Pago Standard and/or its affiliates regarding use of the Website and/or App during the term of the Promotion.

2.2 The Promotion is aimed at:

(i) Users with active Mercado Pago Wallet Accounts who have never received funds from abroad through the App, in accordance with the rules stated below.

2.3 The Promotion will be valid from 12:00 AM (Mexico City time) on September 2, 2024, through 11:59 PM (Mexico City time) on June 30, 2025 (“Promotion Period”).

2.4 This Promotion is valid nationally, only applicable to Users with an active Mercado Pago Wallet Account located within the United Mexican States.

3. Mechanics and Benefit

3.1 Through the App, Mercado Pago Standard will make available specific challenges (“Challenge” or “Challenges”) and grant a Benefit consisting of a credit of up to $200.00 MXN (two hundred pesos) per month during the Promotion Period to the Mercado Pago Wallet Account of Users who receive international funds through the App, provided that the total amount received is at least $2,500.00 MXN (two thousand five hundred pesos).

3.2 The Challenges will be monthly during the Promotion Period. The User must receive at least $2,500.00 MXN from abroad through the App from any of the available brands, either in one transaction or in multiple amounts that together reach that minimum within the same month.

For example, if a User meets the required amount two days into the first month of the Challenge, they will receive the Benefit for that month and must wait 28 calendar days before participating in the next month’s Challenge.

To accumulate the full $600.00 MXN (six hundred pesos) during the Promotion Period, the User must meet the conditions of the monthly Challenges throughout the Promotion Period.

3.3 If a User has more than one Mercado Pago Wallet Account, only the one in which the first remittance is received will be eligible for participation.

Funds received will not be valid and the Benefit will not be granted if the transactions are rejected, canceled, or otherwise not processed (e.g., revoked or failed transfers).

3.4 The User will be the sole beneficiary of the applicable Benefit if all requirements are met.

3.5 The Benefit is personal and non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

3.6 The Benefit may be revoked by Mercado Pago Standard if:

(i) any fraudulent activity is detected in the Promotion;

(ii) the Users are not real individuals; or

(iii) the sender and recipient of the funds are the same person.

Mercado Pago Standard may also disable a User’s account in accordance with the Terms and Conditions if fraud is suspected.

3.7 The Benefit will be granted monthly between the 1st and 7th business day of the following month after the flow was first used.

3.8 The Benefit granted under this Promotion may be combined with the “INVITE AND EARN WITH MERCADO PAGO” promotion. Users who qualify for both may receive the benefits from both.

3.9 Mercado Pago Standard’s responsibility ends once the Benefit is made available to the User. It shall not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by the User due to participation in the Promotion or for any other reason.

4. General Conditions

4.1 Participation in the Promotion implies acceptance of these Promotion Terms and Conditions and the terms listed in section 1. Mercado Pago Standard reserves the right to modify, expand or clarify these Terms at any time and will publish updated versions at https://www.mercadopago.com.mx/

4.2 Mercado Pago Standard does not guarantee uninterrupted access or use of the App, its payment services, or Wallet functionality. Temporary service outages due to technical issues, system errors, or third-party failures may occur. Users will not hold Mercado Pago Standard responsible for any damages or costs resulting from such issues, including interruptions in services provided by Western Union®, Vigo®, O/V® (Orlandi Valuta), PayPal Inc. (“Xoom”), Felix Pago, Moneygram, RIA, Remitly, or Transnetwork.

Mercado Pago Standard reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time and update or remove promotional materials. These Terms may also be updated without notice. If a User disagrees with any updates, they may choose to stop participating in the Promotion.

Mercado Pago Standard may suspend a User’s account or participation in the Promotion if there are suspicions of illegality, fraud, or breach of the Terms, including after the Promotion ends. Users may be suspended or excluded if:

a) Accounts are opened using fictitious individuals/entities,

b) The User opens accounts on behalf of others to claim the Benefit,

c) Any other fraudulent behavior to obtain the Benefit.

4.3 Users’ personal data will be processed and stored in accordance with Mercado Libre’s Privacy Policies available at https://www.mercadolibre.com.mx/privacidad/declaracion-privacidad.

4.4 Any disputes regarding the Promotion or these Terms will be governed by the laws of Mexico City, and subject to its jurisdiction, waiving any other.

4.5 Neither the Federal Government nor public sector agencies are responsible for or guarantee the funds used in operations with FinTech Institutions or obligations between Users.

4.6 Through the Mercado Pago Wallet Account, Users can receive international transfers via brands such as Western Union®, Vigo®, O/V® (Orlandi Valuta), Xoom, Felix Pago, Moneygram, RIA, Remitly, and Transnetwork. The Wallet does not allow outbound international transfers; it only credits funds sent via those brands.

4.7 The international money transfer reception service is provided by Grupo Dinámico Empresarial, S.A. de C.V., with money transmitter registration number 20362. All logos, trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced in this material are the property of their respective owners.
