Several factors might prevent you from enrolling your U.S. mobile number with Zelle®:

  1. Already Enrolled: Your mobile number might be registered with Zelle® through another bank or credit union.
  2. Non-U.S. Number: The number you’re trying to enroll isn’t a U.S. mobile number. Zelle® doesn’t accept international numbers or landlines.
  3. To enroll your mobile number with a new bank, credit union, or directly in the Zelle® app, you must first deregister it from its initial enrollment. You can do this by contacting the customer support of the financial institution where you first registered.   4. After your number or email address is removed from the previous registration, you can enroll it again with Zelle® and start using the service to send and receive money.
